Between Sunlight and Shadow

For once I’m here wishing I could soften…
Say I’m sorry to myself more often
Than anything. Never able to obey—
My one tragic flaw. Can’t say I saw it.
Call a draw between Heaven/ Hell. Mark line
Down center—I hold it all within me.
Like Sin transgresses against Divine Law—
Grow and begin anew each passing year.
Turn body into garden, paradise.
