i thought i saw a bug // thought it was a mantis // thought is it preying or praying // thought need to pick up cat food // which reminded me of that franz wright cat poem // thought milk fang // thought wow // thought what if my name was franz wright // & what if my name was the hamburglar // or mother mary // joseph // thought about church // about choirs & the devil // about rum & coke // cheerwine // cheeks // thought to myself // i should make a career change // maybe sell kites // or blow jobs // or cotton candy by the pool // i could donate plasma // thought nah // what would jesus do // thought who cares
