dripping

one unfavorable thing about an abortion is the leaking. not the usual monthly drips with the occasional chunks burps and gurgles when you cough. this is a broken hydrant flowing drip through blood-stained underwear drip onto the toilet seat drip through countless tights shorts pants drip onto the mattress ruin the sheets through the mattress onto hardwood floors whether sitting or standing feel it flowing draining. it’s all waste. a byproduct. another reminder of animality.
