Music Friyay: Roy Orbison, Future Islands, Julee Cruise

By Joanna C. Valente

Here’s some music, new and old, you should listen to and check out:

Roy Orbison - Crying

What better time than to listen to Orbison’s 1962 album than now?

Future Islands - In Evening Air

The band’s early album from 2011 is still one of my favorites, and a delightful mix of synth, punk, and strange.

Julee Cruise - Floating Into The Night
This gorgeously airy and breathy 1989 album that is intrinsically tied to Twin Peaks is worth listening to on its own.
