Music Friyay: Grizzly Bear, Weyes Blood, Fun Boy Three

By Joanna C. Valente

Here’s some music, new and old, you should listen to and check out:

Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest

The band’s 2009 album is absolutely a perfect alternative rock indie album, full of emotional curves from upbeat pop songs to heartbreak. My favorite: “Two Weeks.”

Weyes Blood - Titanic Rising

Blood’s 2019 album is a chilling and beautiful delight. It feels like listening to an icicle melt.

Fun Boy Three - Waiting

The short-lived British new wave band (former members of The Specials) released music on their own, and it’s full of wonder and fun. My favorite: “Our Lips Are Sealed.”
